Shutterfly
A close second for on-line processing. I
really can't say anything negative about them over Sony, but
I think the Sony interface, web-portal and overall pricing is
what had me use them first. Oddly when I want an 11x17 (a non
standard size with ImageStation) I use Shutterfly. |

Penn
Camera
If I purchase anything photographic. I first
check with my local retailer Penn Camera. While I don't so much
need the advice or vast experience of their friendly staff I
can say this, as a local vendor they are extremely responsive
to any problems I may encounter with a purchase and time and
time again I have found them to incur costs to remedy a situation
that is of no fault of their own. Were I to have made those
purchases mail-order I would have more down-time and expense.
Please do try them first. |

B&H
For everything else I do use the behemoth
B&H. Their web-store is as easy to use as they come, they
have everything you could ever imagine for sale (and some things
you wonder who buys the stuff) BUT, I will say this, should
you need to contact them, or require help with something other
than a perfect item, you will probably be in the unfortunate
boat of being able to learn why I try to shop locally first. |

Canon
One of the top manufacturers of photographic
equipment. From hobbyist to advanced they cover the range. |
|
|
Nikon
An Icon in the photography world and currently
the brand with probably the most diverse and impressive offerings
in Digital SLR's (I am a Canon user but Nikon has quite a line-up
currently) As a historical note the first 35mm rangefinder cameras
produced in Japan in the 1930's was a Canon (then called Kwanon)
that utilized a Nikon lens (Nikon weren't making bodies yet) |

Olympus
One of the top brands in the Point and Shoot
market. Feature laden and excellent value and quality a brand
that is hard to go wrong with. |
 |
|
|
Sony
The giant. Sony has been for some time the
worlds largest provider of CCD chips (the part of the digital
camera that converts light into electrons). Many camera brands
have as their "heart" Sony Sensors. Sony Corp also
recently acquired the Konica-Minolta company which now ushers
in an age of Sony produced Digital SLR cameras. |

A fantastic site that provides an incredible
mix of product reviews and end user forums. Thinking about buying
a new camera? Jump onto the relevant DPReview forum to see what
current owners have to say about their real-world experiences
with the camera you're considering, be warned, people with issues
tend to be more vocal than happy ones. You'll quickly learn
about Trolling and the ferocity with which some brand devotees
will rally their flag. |

Canon
Camera Museum
A fascinating site that chronicles the entire
Canon Camera history, more information collected than I ever
imagined a company would keep. |
